Excellence

We set high standards in all areas of school life. We work hard and try our best in each lesson, each day and each term to be the very best version of ourselves.

Respect

We speak and behave towards ourselves and other members of our community in a kind, pleasant and polite manner.

Personal Responsibility

We make good decisions about what we say and do and are accountable for our choices.

Gratitude

We notice and appreciate other people’s actions, the opportunities we are offered and the world in which we live.

Homework

To support Year 11 students in the lead up to their final examinations, assessments and deadlines, a self-directed revision strategy was launched in February 2025.

The aim is to improve outcomes for all students through targeted, directed revision. The new multi-subject 'Exam Preparation Homework Booklet' is given out each week to Year 11 students on a Thursday during tutor time and the expectation is that the completed booklet will be brought back to school the following Thursday and checked by the tutor.  Students will then receive next week's booklet.

Students will receive feedback and go through the answers in a variety of forms during lesson time.  Feedback will be provided through Do Now activities, MS Teams answer sheets and whole class/individual feedback.

Parent involvement is key, and the front sheet includes a student and parent guide, encouraging students and parents to check the progress every week and sign the relevant box, indicating how much effort has gone into it and how much progress is being made.

Students will be rewarded for completing the booklet with points that will build up to rewards such as leaver hoodies, prom tickets and small prizes.

Although students are provided with a printed copy of the booklet, they can also be found in the boxes below.
